Dr. John Andrews earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2005 from one of the top Veterinary Medical Programs in the country – the esteemed Colorado State University. After graduating, he was accepted into a highly competitive medical internship at VCA West Los Angeles which he completed in 2006. Dr. Andrews then returned to Colorado where he has been practicing high quality veterinary medicine ever since. His dream has always been to design his own, personal hospital with modern and cutting edge architecture, highly efficient veterinary medical techniques, the most cutting edge equipment possible, and a truly “green” approach. Dr. Andrews strives to take veterinary medical centers into the future while still practicing the highest quality of medicine within the community. Mead Veterinary Medical Center IS that hospital, his dream and his passion. He currently lives within the community of Mead and has for the past 8 years. Dr. Andrews is excited to own the first fulltime veterinary medical center to serve the local communities and it will remain locally owned and operated. Personally, Dr. Andrews currently has 3 dogs (2 great Danes and a Molish mix) that he loves dearly – their names are Queen Elizabeth, Princess Madeline, Duquesa Sophia. In his rare spare time, he enjoys camping and hiking the many 14er’s in Colorado.
Dr. Jenette Joseph moved to Colorado in 2004 to work as a wrangler and attend Colorado State University. At CSU she studied equine science, cancer biology, and veterinary medicine. She graduated in 2016 and spent her first year continuing in cancer research while volunteering as a veterinarian at the Denver Dumb Friends League. In 2017 she started working as a small animal veterinarian locally, joining Mead Veterinary Medical Center in July of 2023. When she isn’t here, Dr. Joseph spends her time raising her three children and volunteering in the community. She also loves horseback riding, walking her dogs, and snuggling with her cats.
Dr. Anneliese Bruening earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Washington State University. From an early age, she aspired to be a veterinarian and has dedicated her life to achieving that goal. Dr. Bruening is committed to preventive care and client education, and she is passionate about fostering strong relationships with clients and their pets. She believes in the importance of personalized care to help pets live their healthiest and happiest lives. Originally from Boulder, Colorado, she has always had a deep love for the mountains. Dr. Bruening enjoys reading, gardening, and spending quality time with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Wally, and her cat, Molly.
Vikki is a Colorado native who grew up in Westminster, and has now settled in Firestone. She graduated from Bel-Rea in 2005 with an Associate of Applied Science and has loved working with animals of all sizes from pocket pets and exotics to dogs and cats for the last 20 years. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine including soft tissue surgeries, dental prophylaxis and loves client interaction and education. In her spare time, Vikki loves spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren, running with her cattle dog (Zoe), playing with her senior dog (Plia), playing with her almost 30 year old yellow fronted Amazon parrot (Puck) or with her nose in a book.
Coryn is a Colorado native and has lived in the Longmont area for roughly twenty years. She grew up in a zoo of animals and has always had an innate passion and fondness for and with animals. She walked into Mead Veterinary Medical Center in August 2021 eager for an opportunity to be a part of our team. She loves every minute of it and is looking forward to meeting and extending her love to your animals. When she is not here, she spends most of her time trying to keep up with her dog Kona and two cats Winny and Weasley.
Brookelyn’s dream of working with animals came true in 2025 when she joined Mead Veterinary Medical Center. She prepared for this role with two years at Future Forward Washington Square, where she gained valuable experience and completed an internship. When she’s not at the clinic, Brookelyn is all about spending quality time with her dogs: Asher, Journey, and Koda. Whether they’re cuddling up for a cozy read or running around having fun, her dogs are her world. Brookelyn is thrilled to bring her passion and skills to caring for pets!
Tori is from Upstate South Carolina. She graduated in the spring of 2024 from Erskine College with her bachelors degree in Biology and aspires to go to vet school. Tori has always had a love for animals. When Tori is not here she is riding horses and spending time with her friends and fur babies. Tori is so excited to be apart of the Mead Vet Staff and cannot wait to meet all of your fur babies!
Mikey is a Medical Receptionist who has fallen in love with client/patient care since he started in 2022. On his spare time, you can find him reading a book and spending time with his cat, Lucifer. Mikey also enjoys socializing with friends and family. After starting off at an Animal Hospital near his hometown, he also fell in love with the small community here in Mead and is now happier than ever. Can’t wait to meet you and your Fur Baby!
Mead Veterinary Medical Center strongly feels preventative is the most important aspect to help keep your pet healthy, which will diagnose diseases early to prolong your pet(s) life with affordable means. Effective steps like, performing annual blood work tests will help monitor changes on their insides and diagnose diseases early and try to avoid costly treatment plans.
Our hospital is fully staffed and equipped to diagnose and treat your pets’ complete health care needs. Medical records are fully digital making every process easy and fast to help you and us retrieve any information needed without being lost at the click of a finger or by a simple email.
We also use Petly, so each of your pet(s) have full records online so you can access them at any point and anytime, no matter where you are. We understand at each exam visit there’s a lot that may have been discussed with Dr. John Andrews and we feel it’s important to send every exam note, with what we discussed, to you on Petly to reference at any point if needed.
We perform and offer a complete variety of surgical procedures, ranging from soft tissue to orthopedic surgeries, corrective and curative surgeries within our hospital. We use the safest anesthetics available with the leading monitoring equipment today to provide safe procedures and recoveries for your pet(s) and loved ones. Every patient receives an IV catheter with fluids and we monitor pulse oximetry, blood pressures, ECG, and respiratory rates every 5 minutes.
Mead Veterinary Medical Center has full digital x-ray equipment within the hospital. The images are high quality within a timely manner for every patient. A board-certified Radiologist reviews every x-ray within MVMC.
We offer a full service diagnostic testing for in-house laboratory for your ill pet(s) when needed. We also use a highly reliable veterinary send-out service laboratory for preventative care and follow up diagnostic and screening tools.
We carry a fully stocked inventory of pharmaceuticals, flea and tick prevention, Heartworm prevention, medicated shampoos, and nutritional supplements for all your pet(s) needs. We stride that our pricing is highly competitive and cheaper then online Pharmacies.
